Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan Adopts Resolution to Liberalize Telecommunications Market
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Citizens of Uzbekistan can now fully restore their driver’s licenses online without visiting traffic police offices. This service is designed to save time and simplify the process for individuals who have lost their documents.
To restore a license, users must access the my.gov.uz portal and select the “Driver’s License Issuance” service. In the “Restoration of Lost Driver’s License” section, applicants fill out and submit a request. The cost of the service is 370,800 soums (0.9 of the base monthly tariff rate).
If a citizen wishes to receive the new license by mail, an additional fee of 25,000 soums applies. The service is completed within one working day, and with postal delivery, the document will arrive within three working days.
Applications will be rejected if the driver’s license information is not verified in the system, if the applicant has been deprived of the right to drive, or if an administrative case has been initiated against them under Articles 131 or 136 of the Administrative Liability Code.
The new online system streamlines and simplifies the document restoration process, providing fast access to services without the need for an in-person visit to the traffic police.
