Businesses of Uzbekistan to undergo training within EU project

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A presentation of a programme “Training for trainers” within the joint project of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and European Union “Management Training Programme (MTP) – Capacity building for SME management In Uzbekistan” was held in Tashkent.

Representatives of ministries and departments, responsible for trade and industry, foreign experts and businesspeople participated in the event.

The project “Management Training Programme (MTP) – Capacity building for SME management In Uzbekistan” started in Tashkent on 23 August 2013, and will be completed on the 22 August 2016.

The project is funded by the European Union and executed by a consortium, led by European Profiles S.A., Greece and consisting of WYG International Limited, United Kingdom, CCI Paris Ile-de-France, France, Birmingham Chamber of Commerce (BCI), United Kingdom, PLANET S.A., Greece, and Anticrisis Management Consulting (AMC), Uzbekistan.

The main objective of the project is to increase the stock of qualified and competent entrepreneurs and managers able to effectively start up and manage local SMEs and ensure their sustainable development in a long-term perspective.

The participants of the presentation considered issues related to strengthening capacity of businesses through trainings and selection of candidates for trainers.

The project is planning to hold similar events in Termez on 18 February, Andijan on 20 February, Qarshi on 25 February and Nukus on 27 February.
