Business Forum Held in Khiva for Uzbek and Turkmen Business Communities

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 21 September, a business forum took place in Khiva, bringing together representatives from the regions and business circles of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, Dunyo news agency reported.

During the meeting, participants discussed prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation in areas such as export and import, industrial cooperation, investment, tourism, and other sectors. Special attention was given to the implementation of the cross-border trade zone “Shovot – Dashoguz,” which, according to both parties, will stimulate trade turnover between the countries and strengthen interregional collaboration.

Business representatives were provided with information about the favorable conditions for foreign investors established in Uzbekistan, as well as the socio-economic potential of Khorezm Region, including export opportunities and promising investment projects.

The forum concluded with an agreement to organize a business mission from Khorezm Region to Dashoguz Region.

Following B2G and B2B negotiations, a number of export contracts and memorandums of cooperation were signed, marking a new stage in strengthening economic ties between the regions of the two countries.
