Business Forum “Do Business in Syrdarya!” Held in Kabul with Participation of Uzbek and Afghan Entrepreneurs
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A business forum titled “Do Business in Syrdarya!” was held in Kabul.
The event was attended by the Governor of the Syrdarya Region, Erkinjon Turdimov.
Participants also included the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Afghanistan, Oybek Usmonov, Afghanistan’s Minister of Industry and Trade Nuriddin Azizi, Chairman of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment Said Karim Hoshimi, deputy ministers of Afghanistan’s Ministry of Economy, a delegation from the Syrdarya Region, and representatives of the Afghan business community.
As part of the forum, B2B meetings were organized between entrepreneurs from the Syrdarya Region and Afghanistan, along with G2B meetings involving government officials and business representatives.
As a result of the business forum, export-import agreements totaling US$300 million were reached.
The agreements cover supplies of food products, flour and grain, textile goods, construction materials, and chemical and other industrial products.
