Business circles of Kazakhstan to visit Tashkent in October

According to the press service of Kazakh Invest, the mission will visit Tashkent from 4 to 6 October 2017. Preliminary, more than 20 Kazakhstani companies confirmed their participation in the mission.

Issues related to the visit of the mission of Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan were discussed during the negotiations of representatives of Kazakh Invest, the National Exhibition Company "Uzexpocentre" and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, a variety of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries was discussed.

Askar Arynov, Managing Director of the Kazakh Invest National Company, said that Uzbekistan is one of the priority export countries. Foreign trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan made up US$1.5 billion in 2016, of which US$923 million fell to share of Kazakhstan’s exports, he said.

Arynov said that Kazakh Invest is constantly working to promote domestic products in the Uzbek market.

According to him, four trade missions with the participation of more than 80 Kazakhstani manufacturers of machine-building, chemical, construction, pharmaceutical, food, metallurgy and packaging industries visited Uzbekistan.

"As a result, contracts worth US$47 million were signed. We do not stop there and will continue to strengthen Kazakh-Uzbek trade relations. At present, more than 20 Kazakhstani producers have shown interest in presenting their products in Uzbekistan. In this connection, an agreement was reached to hold a trade mission to Tashkent on 4-6 October,” Arynov added.
