Bus on Route No. 131 Stops Due to Gas Shortage; Driver Dismissed
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A bus on route No. 131 halted mid-journey due to a gas shortage. Passengers were transferred to another vehicle, and the driver, who violated refueling regulations, was dismissed. JSC “Toshshaharttranskhizmat” has pledged to strengthen oversight of discipline and road safety.
On 10 December 2025, the route No. 131 bus “Massiv Dustlik-2 – Hotel Olympia,” operated by the “12th Bus Depot” branch, with license plate 01|803 LKA, depot number 114, model “King Long,” and driven by Urazali Abilov, completed 228 km and returned to the depot at 20:04, ready for the next route on 11 December.
On 11 December, driver Farhod Yunusaliev departed on the same bus at 06:23. Around 17:30, during the 8th trip on Malaya Koltsevaya Road at the 166 km mark, the driver noticed engine malfunctions: the gas fuel sensor dropped to 1%.
Passengers were promptly informed about the need to refuel at a gas station and were transferred to the next bus on route No. 131. After refueling, the bus returned to service from the “Massiv Dustlik-2” stop at 19:40.
An investigation revealed that driver Urazali Abilov had violated official duties by refueling the bus with less gas than required.
As a result, passengers experienced inconvenience.
Following the incident, the depot decided to terminate Abilov’s employment under an internal directive to reinforce driver discipline and ensure safe passenger service.
JSC “Toshshaharttranskhizmat” apologized to passengers and reminded drivers to strictly adhere to traffic regulations and maintain vigilance while driving.
