Bucheon University in Tashkent is being established

On 2 July, the head of Uzbekistan signed a decree “On establishment of Bucheon University in the city of Tashkent”.

The document was adopted with the aim of organizing the training of highly qualified personnel with higher education in accordance with generally recognized international requirements and standards, replenishing the long-term shortage of teachers and educators in preschool educational institutions of the country, forming an innovative environment, further developing long-term relations with leading higher educational institutions of developed foreign countries.

The University will carry out educational activities based on the curricula and programs of Bucheon University (Republic of Korea), taking into account the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the field of education.

Training at the University is conducted in Uzbek, Russian and English languages, on full-time, part-time and evening forms, on a fee-based basis, including educational grants provided by legal entities - potential employers, as well as through charitable donations for training mainly from the regions of the country.

Admission to the university in the areas of preschool education, Korean language, as well as architecture and design opens from 2018/2019 school year from among those who have a general secondary, secondary special, vocational education.

Graduates of the university will be awarded a diploma of the Bucheon University, which without additional legal procedures is recognized as a document on higher education in Uzbekistan.

Training at the University is carried out, first of all, taking into account the needs of preschool educational institutions in pedagogical personnel, as well as in qualified personnel in the field of architecture and design and other popular fields of education.

The document said that Bucheon University implements at its own expense the equipment of educational buildings, teaching and laboratory facilities, places of residence of students and other facilities of the University with furniture, implements, educational and scientific equipment, office equipment, computers, and provides information and communication technologies.

The new university will be located in Chilanzar district of Tashkent in the building of the Chilanzar Pedagogical College.

Starting from 2019/2020 academic year, in agreement with Bucheon University (Republic of Korea), the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education and the Ministry of Economics of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the university can open new promising areas and specialties of education based on the need for personnel and the pace of social and economic development of the country.

The head of Uzbekistan also granted tax and customs privileges to Bucheon University in Tashkent.
