Brussels to host Uzbekistan Energy Day

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ambassador of Uzbekistan Dilyor Khakimov held talks with Secretary General of Eurogas James Watson, in Brussels, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

At the meeting, the parties confirmed that changes taking place in Uzbekistan gave impetus to significant reform and development of production, creation of new enterprises and modernization of existing ones. This accordingly increases the country’s energy needs.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on participation of Eurogas representatives in “Uzbekistan Energy Day – Central Asia Crossroads” on 11 June, organized by the Embassy together with the Brussels Energy Club.

In addition, the visit of Eurogas delegation to Uzbekistan in autumn 2019, explore opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation and prepare relevant proposals, assist in establishing direct contacts with members of the association, well-known companies in the gas sector are planned.
