Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As part of the preparations for the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Victory in World War II and perpetuating the role of the Uzbek people in the fight against fascism, the Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Benelux countries, Dilyor Hakimov, met with the leaders of a number of CIS diplomatic missions accredited in Brussels.
During the talks, the Uzbek diplomat noted that the victory in the Second World War is a common great story that will never be forgotten, that it encourages us to value and protect the world, live in friendship and harmony with all peoples, and build a common future together.
The sides were informed that, like the CIS countries, Uzbekistan is also doing a great deal of preparatory work for a worthy celebration of this significant date. It was noted that in one of the most picturesque places of Tashkent, the Victory Park will be built by the anniversary date.
At the meeting, the participants got acquainted with the 3D information booth dedicated to the heroism of 101 Uzbek soldiers who died during the Second World War in the fascist concentration camp "Amersfoort" (Netherlands). The stand installed at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Brussels was created with the financial support of the Youth Union of Uzbekistan. The book “One Hundred One,” written on the basis of documentary facts by Yulia Medvedkovskaya and Anvar Irgashev, was presented to all participants in the meeting.
