British experts hold training for Uzbek journalists

The workshop was organized by the Public Fund on support and development of mass media and information agencies of Uzbekistan, International center for training journalists and the OSCE Project Coordinator in Uzbekistan “Issues of further raising potential of mass media and information service of Uzbekistan”.

The project is aimed at improving legal knowledge on avoiding internal censorship at reporting, ensuring objectiveness and reporting, studying international experience, improving professional skills of mass media workers, etc.

During three days, British experts presented information on latest achievements in the sector, successes and experience of foreign journalism.

At the event, the local media presented their positions on reporting these or those events.

The workshop was held in interactive form and the participants discussed actual issues in national media sector.

The participants exchanged opinion on improving potential of Uzbek mass media, using ICT and Internet in their activities, etc.

The organizers handed over certificated to the participants.
