Brief Power Outage Reported at Tashkent Airport

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A brief partial power outage was recorded overnight at Tashkent International Airport, Uzbekistan Airways reported.

According to the airline, at 02:28 local time a minor incident at the Kuylyuk substation caused a voltage surge and a temporary disruption of electricity supply to certain airport facilities. The incident did not affect aircraft arrivals or departures, and all aviation and ground services continued operating as normal.

Departure and arrival halls were promptly switched to backup power using diesel generators and uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems. Full restoration of electricity was completed by 02:49.

Uzbekistan Airways apologized to passengers for any temporary inconvenience and thanked them for their understanding, emphasizing that flight safety and schedule regularity were fully ensured throughout the incident.
