Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - A book devoted to the metro of Tashkent was presented in the capital of Japan, Dunyo reports.

At an event organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the Land of the Rising Sun and the Japanese publisher Daifukushorin, participants were informed about the tourism potential of the metro.

Thus, the director of the publishing house and author of the book, A. Taki, spoke about the uniqueness of the Tashkent metro, which is very popular among foreign tourists.

She said that the subway is also famous among Japanese tourists for its unique design and unusual architecture. As the author noted, each station is unique, the design is individual and dedicated to a specific topic, reflecting the cultural values, art and history of the Uzbek people. At the same time, the names of metro stations influenced their design and artistic image. A great influence on the architectural and artistic appearance of the stations is also exerted by its location associated with any historical event, personality or location of large industrial complexes.

In this context, she added that the Tashkent metro is not only an underground transport, but also a monument of the history and culture of Uzbekistan.

Taki's book contains photographs of the Tashkent Metro with a description of the characteristics of each station in Japanese. The beginning of the book tells about the history of creation, the distinguishing features of all stations, as well as the culture, customs of the Uzbek people and the tourism potential of our country. The book also contains country-specific information about Uzbekistan.

Representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan spoke about the tourism potential of our country, ongoing dynamic and widespread reforms in the tourism sector, as well as creating favorable conditions for travelers. Particular attention was paid to the current visa-free regime for Japanese citizens.

It was also noted that the Tashkent Metro is the pride and art attraction of the capital of Uzbekistan, representing both scientific and historical interest to the public.
