Body of 36-Year-Old Uzbek Woman Found in Istanbul with Signs of Violent Death

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The body of a 36-year-old citizen of Uzbekistan was discovered in Istanbul’s Fatih district with signs of violent death — the woman’s throat had been slit.

According to local law enforcement authorities, the circumstances of the incident are still under investigation.

The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul stated that all necessary measures have been taken to support the victim’s family and arrange for the repatriation of the body.

Diplomatic sources reported that several years ago the woman had been deported from Türkiye for violating residency regulations and was banned from re-entering the country. She later returned under a different name and surname.
