BMB Holding Reaches Agreement with Costco for Supplying Uzbek Products to the U.S. Market

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During a visit to the United States by a delegation from Uzbekistan led by Behzod Mamatkulov, Chairman of the Multi-Industry Holding BMB Holding, negotiations were held with Ed Martin, Head of Sales and Distribution at the American retail chain Costco Wholesale, the news agency Dunyо reported.

Costco Wholesale is one of the world’s largest hypermarket chains, operating over a thousand outlets across North America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region. By the end of 2025, the company’s revenue reached US$275.2 billion, with a workforce exceeding 341,000 employees.

Initial contacts between Costco Wholesale and BMB Holding were established in 2024 during a visit to Uzbekistan by Francesco De Natale, a member of the board of directors of the U.S. conglomerate. At that time, BMB Holding’s exported food products successfully passed a three-stage quality control procedure required to enter Costco’s shelves.

During the recent negotiations, the parties agreed to develop practical cooperation and resolve all organizational issues related to the supply of BMB Holding products. This specifically includes deliveries of deeply processed agricultural products, fruits and vegetables, and saffron.

Product samples were handed over to the American side for marketing purposes.

An agreement was also reached to continue targeted efforts to establish mechanisms for cooperation with Costco Wholesale branches in the U.S. and other countries, as well as to hold further negotiations in the future.

The first shipments of high-value-added Uzbek agricultural and food products, fully compliant with international standards, to the Costco network are expected to become an important step in entering the premium consumer market in the United States.

In the long term, this partnership is intended to strengthen the position of Uzbek products in the global market, expand export potential, and create new jobs through the development of modern logistics and quality control systems.
