BMB Holding and Austrian Agrotec Establish Joint Venture AGROINVEST

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation from Uzbekistan, led by Bekzod Mamatkulov, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of BMB Holding, held a meeting with Boris Kandov, head of the Austrian company Agrotec, the Dunyо news agency reports. The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Austria, Bakhtiyor Ibragimov, also participated in the event.

The parties discussed ways to further strengthen trade and economic ties, implement new large-scale investment projects, and establish long-term cooperation in the processing and export of agricultural products.

Following the negotiations, BMB Holding and Agrotec signed an agreement to create a joint enterprise under the name AGROINVEST.

The purpose of the new venture is to attract foreign investment and export deeply processed Uzbek agricultural products, including natural saffron and products under the brand BMB Za’faron, to European Union markets via Austria. The project also provides for the import of in-demand goods from Europe into Uzbekistan.

The initiative is expected to serve as an important foundation for expanding trade and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Austria and to promote high-quality Uzbek products in European markets.
