Bloggers Held Accountable for Advertising Unlicensed Overseas Employment Services

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Administrative protocols have been issued against bloggers O. Djuraev and A. Abdurakhmonov for violations of the law, and the cases have been forwarded to the court.

During an inspection of promotional content related to companies offering visa processing and overseas employment services, conducted by the Committee on Competition, it was found that the bloggers behind the pages @iwash_tashkent and @abdurahmonmufid had advertised the services of LLC “ADWORLD GROUP.” Specifically, they promoted employment services abroad rather than general consulting services.

According to Article 13 of the Law “On Private Employment Agencies,” providing employment services for citizens outside the Republic of Uzbekistan is only permitted with the appropriate license. Any activity in this area without a license is prohibited.

Additionally, Article 16 of the Law “On Advertising” prohibits the promotion of goods and services that do not have the necessary licenses, mandatory certification, or special permissions for production and sale.

Based on these violations, administrative offense protocols were drawn up against the bloggers and submitted to judicial authorities for consideration.

Earlier reports indicated that the Migration Agency had identified serious violations by Adworld Group: the company provided overseas employment services without a license, misleading citizens and advertising job vacancies in Montenegro, Serbia, the United Kingdom, Lithuania, Norway, Oman, and Japan.

The founder of ADWorld’s visa processing company, Dilmurod Yusupov, has been detained on suspicion of committing fraud.
