Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Law enforcement bodies of Uzbekistan from 1 May to 10 June 2019 identified 145 drug trafficking offenses in Tashkent.
In particular, four crimes were qualified under article 246 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan (“Smuggling”).
Fourteen cases initiated under Article 270 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan (“Cultivation of crops prohibited for cultivation”, that is, illegal planting or cultivation of opium or oilseed poppy, cannabis plants or other plants containing narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances).
Some 47 cases initiated under Article 273 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan (“Illegal manufacturing, acquisition, storage and other actions with narcotic drugs, their analogues or psychotropic substances for the purpose of sale, as well as their sale”).
One crime qualified under Article 274 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan (“Involvement in the use of narcotic drugs, their analogues or psychotropic substances”).
About 79 crimes, qualified under article 276 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan (“Illegal manufacturing, acquisition, storage and other actions with narcotic drugs, their analogues or psychotropic substances without the purpose of sale”).
In total, within the framework of the event for the period (from May 1 to June 10), 12,371 grams of drugs were seized. Work in this direction continues.
