Birinchi Rezinotekhnika Zavodi becomes a single supplier of tires for state customers

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Birinchi Rezinotekhnika Zavodi (First Rubber Technology Plant) has become a single supplier of agricultural and automobile tires for government customers.

The Government of Uzbekistan made the corresponding decision on 24 April.

Birinchi Rezinotekhnika Zavodi began its work on the territory of the free economic zone "Angren". The company manufactures conveyor belts, agricultural and automobile tires.

The design capacity of the plant is 100,000 meters of conveyor belts, 200,000 agricultural and 3 million tires per year.

The government also approved a set of measures to fulfill the forecast parameters of production, as well as to increase their competitiveness.

According to the document, the company will produce products in the amount of 489.6 billion soums in 2019. By 2020, it is planned to reduce imports, increase localization and provide a complete set of domestic-made car tires in the amount of 493,300 units.

It is also planned to increase the number of company stores of Birinchi Rezinotekhnika Zavodi. The number of stores in Tashkent and Tashkent region will increase from 5 to 11. Stores will also be opened in each region.

Employees of the company will be trained at the production sites of the Russian company Tatneft. The plant will also develop and master new tire sizes based on demand, after which it plans to enter the markets of Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.

Birinchi Rezinotekhnika Zavodi will work on the issue of joint activities, including the transfer of the rubber plant to the trust management of Tatneft and the entry of the Russian company in the stake.
