Binali Yildirim visits Samarkand

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Turkey Binali Yildirim, who arrived in Uzbekistan on an official visit, visited the city of Samarkand on September 25.

The guest visited the memorial complex of the First President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov.

The Turkish delegation highly appreciated the creative work carried out in the complex, as well as measures taken to preserve one of the most ancient monuments located here – the Khazrati Khizr mosque.

Binali Yildirim also visited the Imam Bukhari and Abu Mansur Maturidi complexes. The guest was provided with detailed information on activities carried out in the country on studying the rich spiritual heritage of our great scientists, who made an invaluable contribution to the development of Islam religion, improvement of sacred places associated with their names.

The delegation of Turkey also visited the Amir Temur mausoleum, Registan Square and other historical monuments of Samarkand.
