Berlin-Chemie and Uzbekistan Discuss Local Production of Essential Medicines
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Director of the Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency Abdulla Azizov held talks with representatives of Berlin-Chemie, one of Germany’s leading international pharmaceutical companies.
The discussions focused on prospects for the development of Uzbekistan’s pharmaceutical sector, including opportunities to establish local production of essential medicines for the population.
The parties also agreed to expand cooperation in research and development, as well as education. Berlin-Chemie expressed readiness to launch professional development programs for Uzbek students and specialists at its research and manufacturing facilities. This initiative aims to strengthen the local talent pool, familiarize specialists with international best practices, and improve the quality of professional training.
