Beeline Uzbekistan Strengthens Network in the Country’s Western Region
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Beeline Uzbekistan’s technical team has completed the construction of 92 new base stations across the area covered by the operator’s Western Regional Branch. Of these, 59 were built in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, with the remainder located in the Khorezm region.
All new base stations support simultaneous operation on 2G, 3G, and 4G technologies, ensuring stable voice communication and high-speed mobile internet for both residents and businesses. The expansion takes into account the region’s challenging terrain and long distances, providing connectivity in populated areas and along key transport routes.
For example, in the city of Beruniy and its surrounding areas, 15 new base stations have been launched in addition to those previously installed. In Kungrad and Nukus, 9 new stations each have been deployed, and in Turtkul and Khodjeli, 6 new stations each. In the Khorezm region, coverage has been boosted in Urgench and nearby areas, while 9 base stations have been activated in each of the Khiva and Shavat districts.
Alongside the rollout of new infrastructure, network modernization is also underway. Capacity has already been increased on 27 existing sites operating on the 1800 MHz and 2600 MHz bands, with plans to upgrade additional stations in the near future. These improvements will enhance network throughput and connection stability as user demand continues to grow — a trend confirmed by Beeline Uzbekistan analysts.
“In Khorezm region, LTE traffic has grown nearly 15 times since 2020 and more than doubled over the past two years. In the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the dynamics are even higher: mobile data transmitted via LTE networks has increased 23 times in five years. Average weekly data consumption in the region now exceeds 1.2 petabytes, or 1.27 billion MB — the most impressive growth across the entire Beeline Uzbekistan network,” said Aibek Uzakov, Head of the Western Regional Branch.
Expanding regional network infrastructure remains a strategic priority for Beeline Uzbekistan. The company is committed to enhancing coverage, improving quality of service, and ensuring equal access to digital services across the country.
