Balance of migration makes up minus 5,300 people in 1H

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- During January-June of 2018, the number of arrived people to Uzbekistan totaled 83,300 persons (internal – 82,000 people, external – 1,300 people), the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.

At the same time, the number of departed people was 88,600 persons (internal – 82,000 people, external – 6,600 people).

The balance of migration was minus 5,300 people and in comparison with the same period of 2017 decreased by 4,300 people.

The high level of the balance of migration falls on Tashkent (minus 2,600 people), Kashkadarya (minus 2,100 people) and the Republic of Karakalpakstan (minus 1,700 people).

The number of arrivals to Uzbekistan for permanent residence from abroad is 1,292 people. About 31.6% of people arrived in Uzbekistan from Kazakhstan, 30.3% from Tajikistan, 25.2% from Russia, 2.8% from Turkmenistan and 2.4% from Kyrgyzstan.

The number of people, who left Uzbekistan for permanent residence abroad, is 6,568 people. Of these, 46.9% left for Russia, 46.2% - for Kazakhstan, 1.1% - for the USA, 0.7% - for Tajikistan and 1% - for Israel.
