Bakhtiyor Saidov Discusses Financing of Major Projects in Uzbekistan with Standard Chartered CEO

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 25 February, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov held a meeting with Saif Malik, Chief Executive Officer of Standard Chartered Bank.

During the talks, a substantive exchange of views took place on expanding cooperation in the financing of major industrial projects, supporting green energy initiatives, and strengthening engagement with the real sector of the economy. Particular attention was paid to opportunities in renewable energy development, infrastructure projects, and sustainable finance.

Both sides expressed their readiness to further deepen their partnership with a view to implementing transformational projects, and welcomed the bank's continued integration into Uzbekistan's national financial system.
