Automobile Production in Uzbekistan Rises 8.9% Over Ten Months

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From January to October 2025, Uzbekistan’s automotive enterprises produced 370,000 passenger cars, an 8.9% increase compared to the same period in 2024, when 339,808 vehicles were manufactured, according to the National Statistics Committee.

Of particular note is the rapid growth in the production of specialized vehicles, which more than doubled—from 20,531 units in January–October 2024 to 44,297 units in the current year, reflecting a 115.8% increase.

Brand-level analysis shows mixed trends. Production of the Cobalt model declined by 2.1% to 131,769 cars, Damas fell by 5.8% to 75,846 units, and Onix decreased by 12% to 25,599 vehicles. In contrast, Tracker output grew by 13.5% to 40,034 cars, KIA rose by 28.8% to 21,970 units, and Chery increased by 30.6% to 7,771 vehicles.

The strongest growth was observed in Haval, with production rising 3.3 times from 2,317 to 7,654 cars, and BYD, which increased nearly 9.3 times from 1,614 to 15,010 vehicles. A newcomer, the Tank 500 model, began production with 50 units.
