Australia appoints new envoy to Uzbekistan

Ambassador handed over credentials, addressed to the President of Uzbekistan, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.

During the negotiations, the sides considered current state and perspectives of deepening of the Uzbek-Australian dialogue, as well as interaction within the international organizations, including the UN and other organizations.

The sides discussed issues of expanding trade-economic and investment relations, joint implementation of mutual beneficial projects.

At the meeting, the officials discussed issues of boosting contacts in cultural-humanitarian, scientific and educational institutions, which will give complex character to bilateral ties.
