Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 22 November, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received an Italian delegation visiting our country, led by the regional governor Lombardy Attilio Fontana.

After a meeting with the head of state, Attilio Fontana spoke about the prospects for the development of relations between the two countries.

- At a meeting with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the prospects of further development of relations between Uzbekistan and Italy in various fields were discussed. This plan indicates the great potential for cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Lombardy region, which I represent. There are great opportunities for this.

In particular, we came to a mutual agreement on the development of cooperation in such areas as education, science. The necessity of expanding opportunities for creating joint research centers, application and support of scientific discoveries, and cultural events was emphasized.

Currently, the economy of Uzbekistan is developing dynamically in all areas. This helps to strengthen cooperation in the implementation of projects for the supply of equipment for various industries, the introduction of new technologies used in production and business, the exchange of best practices.
