Atletico Madrid wins 2018 European Super Cup

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Diego Costa recorded a brace as Atletico Madrid netted four goals against Real Madrid to clinch the 2018 European Super Cup.

Julen Lopetegui’s side looked set for a victory in 90 minutes after goals from Karim Benzema and Sergio Ramos followed Costa’s 49-second opener. However, Real allowed Atletico back into the game, with Costa netting a second to send the match into extra time.

In the extra time, Saul Niguez and Koke scored one goal each to give a 4-2 victory over Real.
