ATLAS International invests 300 million euros for introduction of photo and video recording of violations on the roads

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- German company ATLAS International will invest 300 million euros of its own funds to introduce an automated system of photo and video recording of violations on the roads.

The President of Uzbekistan signed a decree on measures to implement investment projects in the field of road safety.

ATLAS International at the first stage (in 2018-2019) will introduce an automated system for photo and video recording of violations on the roads in Andijan, Namangan, Tashkent and Ferghana regions.

The money from the fines that will be received using the system will be distributed as follows:

• 20% to the state budget of Uzbekistan;
• 20% in local budgets for the development of road infrastructure;
• 25% to the extra-budgetary fund of the Ministry of Internal Affairs;
• 10% to the center of information and public safety;
• 25% at the expense of the company until the investment costs are covered. After the company covers all of its costs for the implementation of the system, this amount will go to the extra-budgetary fund of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
