Assets of non-banking credit organizations of Uzbekistan grow by 33% in 2015

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Total assets of the non-banking credit organizations as of 1 January 2016 made up 109 billion soums, which rose by 33% compared to the beginning of 2015, the press service of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan said.

The balance of the credit portfolio of the non-banking credit organizations rose by 38% within a year and reached 96.3 billion soums. Their total capital grew by 27% and reached 81.7 billion soums.

Non-bank credit institutions have not right to accept deposits and they provide microfinance services mainly due to their own resources.

As of 1 January 2016, there are 27 microcredit organizations and 43 pawn-shop in all regions of Uzbekistan.
