ASKUG program is being introduced into the system of main gas pipelines

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In recent years, reforms have been carried out in Uzbekistan in various areas, the main goal of which is the socio-economic development of the country and improvement of the living standards of the population. In the course of these reforms, the modernization of the industry and the introduction of innovations have become relevant in the system of the Uztransgaz joint stock company. The essence of these transformations is the elimination of red tape, inaccuracies in calculations and, ultimately, the creation of convenience for consumers.

One of the important innovations in "Uztransgaz" is the introduction of the "Automated system of commercial gas metering" (ASKUG). ASKUG is an effective and promising innovative project aimed at improving the supply of natural gas to consumers.

Before starting work on the new program, the experience of several foreign companies was studied in order to develop the system software.

During the preparation of the program, attention was paid to the establishment of an effective and transparent procedure for maintaining gas metering, excluding unjustified interference. It also achieves an immediate warning through the system of any attempts made to change the meter reading. To use the services of local specialists in the process of launching the ASKUG system and its operation, an agreement was concluded with Uzneftgazinformatika JSC on cooperation until the end of 2020.

At present, practically all gas distribution and gas metering stations available in the republic are connected to the ASKUG system and operate in test mode. The volumes of supplied natural gas are accounted for in a fully automated manner.

The most important link in the program is the “Centralized Dispatch Service” created in the company’s management apparatus, which monitors the meters connected to the system. The control room keeps track of complete data at the point of measurement of objects - that is, real state readings, actual inlet pressure, daily inlet volume of natural gas, as well as similar indicators the day before, temperature, pressure and all information related to pressure drop. These indicators are also displayed on the monitor in the form of graphs. The program includes personal accounts of consumers, on this page general information about the consumer, indicators of the volumes of consumed and supplied natural gas found their place.

It should be noted that the preliminary indicators achieved as a result of connection to the new system of technological gas meters of the main gas pipelines of Uztransgaz JSC. In January-May 2020, the loss of 51 million cubic meters was prevented. meters of natural gas and saved funds of society in the amount of almost 20 billion soums. When comparing this indicator with the same period last year (taking into account changes in consumption volumes), the loss of 43 million cubic meters was prevented. meters of natural gas.

In general, thanks to the establishment of the ASKUG system, the following advantages can be achieved:

firstly, losses in natural gas consumption are reduced;

secondly, it creates an opportunity to control the gas consumption of large and strategic consumers connected to the main gas pipelines, as well as to identify extraordinary interventions in gas meters. The system has the ability to timely identify any extraordinary interventions by analyzing about 100 indicators in gas meters;

thirdly, it creates an opportunity for long-term storage and analysis of data in installations for measuring natural gas consumption. Data can be stored in the memory of existing server installations for more than 5 years. (The gas flow rate installations in operation until now could store data in their memory for up to 62 days);

fourthly, the system allows timely detection of errors and malfunctions in installations for measuring the flow of natural gas, promptly receiving data and immediately analyzing them.

According to the plan, the start-up process of the ASKUG system will be completed by September this year. After full commissioning during the fourth quarter, work will continue to improve the functionality of the system.
