Asaka Bank issues loans for 383 bn soums to small businesses

State joint stock commercial bank “Asaka” issued loans for 382.8 billion soums to support small and private businesses in the past period of 2012, the bank’s press service said.
In the result, over 20,000 new jobs were created. In 2012, the largest bank of Uzbekistan is planning to allocate 500 billion soums to small and private businesses.
In line with the presidential resolution “On additional measures on expanding production of food products and saturation internal market” from 26 January 2009, the bank issued 86.4 billion soums.
According to the resolution “On additional measures on stimulation on expanding production of non-food consumer goods” from 28 January 2009, the bank allocated 74.6 billion soums.
The bank said that it also allotted 29 billion soums to businesswomen so far this year.
