Artists’ Festival to Be Held in Babur, Winners to Receive Cars

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan has approved the regulations for organizing and holding an artists’ festival in the city of Babur, Andijan Region.

According to the document, the festival will be held biennially, starting in 2026, generally in May.

To participate, candidates must submit a complete application package to the organizers by 1 February of the festival year. The package should include a resume, three color photographs sized 6×9 cm, copies of documents confirming experience in the visual arts and participation in relevant exhibitions and festivals both domestically and abroad (certificates, diplomas, awards), at least ten high-quality photographs of their own artworks, and a video showing the process of creating their works.

The organizing committee will determine the list of participants by 1 April of the festival year and notify them of their admission to the competition.

The festival will feature the following categories: Grand Prix, Best Painter, Best Sculptor, Best Photographer, and Best Graphic Artist.

Winners will receive gifts from the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, including a domestically produced passenger car (Chevrolet Onix or a vehicle of similar class), a diploma, a symbolic festival sculpture, and cash prizes.
