Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The appellate division of the Tashkent City Criminal Court has acquitted the otolaryngologist from the private clinic Star Med Center who performed surgery on blogger Farhod Mannopov, known online as Mittivine.

The court ruled that the doctor’s actions did not constitute a criminal offense and fully overturned the previous verdict.

It should be recalled that in November last year, the physician had been sentenced by the court of first instance to five years of restricted freedom and a two-year ban on professional practice.
