Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Antimonopoly Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan has studied consumer appeals concerning the accrual of unreasonable debts on the part of natural monopolies. It was reported by the Information Service of the Antimonopoly Committee.
According to the results of the study of the appeals, the accrual of unjustified debts from natural monopolies was revealed for a total amount of 6.5 million soums: in 2 cases in natural gas, in 1 in cold water and in 2 cases in hot water. For all the above facts, recalculation was made in favor of consumers.
For example: the state unitary enterprise “Toshissiuvvati” charged consumer S. Rashidova unjustified debts of 1.4 million soums, but after the intervention of the Antimonopoly Committee, the recalculation was made in favor of the consumer.
Natural monopolies were explained about the identified deficiencies, and warned about the inadmissibility of violations of current legislation and the measures taken in relation to violations.
