Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 18 August 2020, another round of consular consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan in the format of video conference took place.

The talks were attended by representatives of consular services of foreign affairs agencies, law enforcement agencies and diplomatic missions of the two countries.

During the consultations, which took place in a friendly, constructive and benevolent atmosphere, the parties discussed in detail a number of consular issues of mutual interest and prospects for further bilateral cooperation in this direction.

Special attention was paid to the issues of cooperation in the field of migration, the implementation of the provisions of existing bilateral agreements, the current state and prospects of interaction between the law enforcement bodies of the two countries were discussed.

At the end of the talks, an agreement was reached to intensify interdepartmental interaction and expand cooperation in the consular, legal and migration spheres.
