Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From 2 to 9 December, , Uzneftegazinspektsiya jointly with specialists from Khududgaztaminot JSC and Uzstandard agency metrologists conducted regular measures to comply with the rules for using natural gas in Uzbekistan, during which it was discovered illegal use of natural gas. According to preliminary estimates, the damage to the gas supply organization is 7 billion 439 million soums.

At the time of the inspection of the enterprise LLC “RUN TONG METAL INDUSTRIAL” located in the Ohangaran district of Tashkent region and LLC “Lyux granit” in the city of Angren, third-party interference with the installed gas metering device was detected, i.e. the configurations in the memory of the gas meter were underestimated, and therefore the gas meter did not store the readings of the natural gas used by the enterprise in full.

In addition to changes in configurations in metering devices, there were moments when the metering devices were disconnected from the power supply for several days; accordingly, the readings of used natural gas were not saved on these days.

According to the technical specifications issued by the Toshkentgaz regional branch, the total hourly consumption of natural gas at the RUN TONG METAL INDUSTRIAL LLC is 3600 cubic meters / hour. According to preliminary estimates, the volume of illegally used natural gas for 30 days amounted to 2 million 592 thousand cubic meters, which amounts to damage in the amount of 1 billion 710 million soums.

As for the ceramic production workshop of Lyux granit LLC, according to the technical conditions, the total hourly consumption of natural gas is 1683.4 cubic meters / hour. According to preliminary calculations, the volume of illegally used natural gas for 45 days amounted to 3 million 156 thousand cubic meters, which amounts to damage in the amount of 3 billion 156 million soums.

Theft was also discovered at another gas-filling gas station owned by Angren Oil Business in Angren. This enterprise also revealed external influences to the gas meter.

According to preliminary calculations, the volume of illegally used natural gas for 53 days made up 1 million 272 thousand cubic meters, which amounts to damage in the amount of 1 billion 272 million soums.

Among natural gas thieves, there are also 10 greenhouse farms that damaged the gas supply company in the amount of more than 1 billion 506 million soums, poultry farms, ceramic factories, as well as 196 enterprises engaged in other activities. According to preliminary estimates, the volume of their illegal consumption of natural gas amounted to 1 million 301 thousand cubic meters in the amount of 1 billion 118 million soums.

In order to take measures in accordance with applicable law, the materials were sent to law enforcement agencies. Measures to comply with the rules for the use of natural and liquefied gas are ongoing.
