Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Another group of Chinese doctors and specialists, which included representatives of the Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, arrived in Tashkent to carry out joint prevention, epidemic control, exchange of data and experience in the treatment of COVID-19, Dunyo news agency reported.
This working trip was organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the PRC together with the Chinese company “Beizhong Yilin Pharm Co. Group” within the framework of the agreements reached by the leaders of the two countries to jointly fight the pandemic of a new type of coronavirus COVID-19.
According to the stay program, Chinese specialists will visit various medical institutions in the regions of Uzbekistan, hold events aimed at supporting Uzbek doctors in the fight against the COVID-19 epidemic, and discuss methods of prevention, control and treatment of the disease.
Moreover, Chinese doctors and specialists will provide high-quality medical services to citizens facing other diseases at the recently opened Uzbek-Chinese Center for Traditional Medicine in Tashkent, using both modern and traditional methods of treatment.
It should be noted that the creation of such a medical institution, the largest in Central Asia, opens up new opportunities for building up bilateral cooperation on the widespread introduction of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and traditional medicine into the modern healthcare system. It is also of great practical importance in terms of implementing joint projects in the fields of medicine and pharmaceuticals.
