Another action of the National Chamber and the TIKA Agency for the protection of doctors

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The National Chamber of Innovative Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the support of the TIKA Agency (Turkey) will be able to hand over another 5,000 sets of personal protective equipment (PPE) to healthcare professionals. This was reported by the press service of the National Chamber of Innovative Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The delivery of a new batch of humanitarian aid from the Turkish side took place in the National Chamber on 12 June  2020.

Within the framework of this partnership on 30 April, the first batch of humanitarian aid arrived in the National Chamber, which also included 5 thousand sets of PPE. Then they were distributed into a number of clinics, including the Clinic of the Research Institute of Epidemiology, Microbiology and Infectious Diseases, city clinical hospitals No. 5 and 7, maternity hospitals No. 3 and 6 of Tashkent, the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Obstetrics and Gynecology ”, 1st Clinical Hospital named after Ibn Sino, Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Center for Neurosurgery, City Children’s Clinical Hospital No. 5, City Infectious Clinical Hospital No. 1, Republican AIDS Center, Multidisciplinary Clinic of the Tashkent Medical Academy.

The efficiency of the National Chamber’s delivery of personal protective equipment they need during a pandemic to medical workers was noted at the ceremony on 12 June by the head of the TIKA Representative Office in Uzbekistan, Cemalettin Tunei.

In turn, the chairman of the National Chamber, Rovshan Izamov, expressed confidence that the productive cooperation that had arisen in such a difficult time would have further development in the form of joint projects with the Turkish side.

During the conversation, the parties noted that Uzbekistan has achieved significant success in combating the COVID-19 pandemic. Today, quarantine measures are being introduced in stages in the republic, and at this time everyone needs to be especially careful in observing the necessary sanitary and hygienic requirements, in particular, wearing masks.

This time, PPE sets included glasses, gloves, shoe covers and masks of two types - disposable protective masks and reusable respirators No. 95.

Kits will be transferred to medical clinics of the capital and regions through the territorial units of the National Chamber of Innovative Health.
