Anorbank Secures US$10 Million Credit Line from Islamic Corporation for Development
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Digital bank Anorbank has signed an agreement for a US$10 million credit line with the International Islamic Corporation for Development (ICD).
The financing is aimed at supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Uzbekistan and expanding the private sector’s access to Islamic financial instruments.
The agreement reinforces Anorbank’s strategic objectives of fostering SME development, diversifying the economy, and promoting Islamic finance within the country.
Bank representatives noted that the initiative will strengthen private sector financing and contribute to sustainable economic growth.
The document was signed by Dr. Khalid Khalafallah, Acting CEO of ICD, and Sherzod Akramov, Chairman of the Board of Anorbank.
The deal also establishes ICD as the first multilateral development institution to provide a credit line to Anorbank, laying the foundation for accelerated private sector growth and increased investment in Uzbekistan.
