Ankara Denies Claims of Turkish Military Ties with Israeli Entities
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Official Turkish authorities have categorically denied information about alleged connections between the country’s Armed Forces and entities associated with the Israeli military.
This statement was issued in response to reports circulating in the media claiming that “the security perimeter of the Turkish General Staff was supposedly entrusted to a company directly linked to the Israeli army.”
The document emphasizes that this claim “does not correspond to reality and constitutes disinformation aimed at manipulating public opinion.” The Turkish Ministry of National Defense has previously informed the public that no contractual or other relations exist with the mentioned company.
It is also stressed that the position of the President of the Republic of Türkiye and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, regarding Israel is “clear and unambiguous: Israel represents a threat to both regional and global peace.”
Authorities noted that despite official clarifications, the dissemination of false information continues, and this is considered a criminal offense under Article 217/A of the Turkish Penal Code. The legislation provides liability for “spreading disinformation capable of disturbing public order.”
“The Turkish Armed Forces are a national pride and a symbol of our people. Any attempts to discredit the military will be thoroughly investigated, and all legal measures will be taken against those responsible,” the statement said.
Thus, Turkish authorities urged the public to trust only official sources of information and not to fall for provocations.
