Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Chinese company Anhui Conch Cement Co LTD will build a cement plant in Uzbekistan.

The government of Uzbekistan issued a resolution “On measures to organize the construction of a cement plant in Kitab district of Kashkadarya region”.

According to the document, the capacity of the plant in Kitab district of Kashkadarya region will be 1.2 million tonnes of Portland cement per year.

The plant will use the raw material base (limestone, loess rocks) in Kitab district of Kashkadarya region for the production of Portland cement.

As part of the investment project, Anhui Conch Cement Co LTD established a foreign enterprise in the form of a limited liability company Qarshi Conch Cement.

Sources of financing for the supply of materials, equipment, machines and mechanisms, components and components of tooling, instruments, vehicles, spare parts, tools, software, technical and project documentation, as well as work on the necessary external infrastructure identified foreign investment in the amount of US$150, 51 million will be attracted by the investor.

The government allowed Qarshi Conch Cement, on an exceptional basis, to carry out construction and installation work with the parallel development of design and estimate documentation for the period up to 1 September 2020, as part of an investment project.
