Anesthesia-respiratory devices were received within the framework of charity

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In Uzbekistan, prompt and decisive measures are being taken to effectively combat the coronavirus pandemic. In particular, special attention is paid to such important tasks as the prevention of the spread of coronavirus infection, effective treatment of patients and laboratory tests.

The government has made considerable efforts to prevent the spread of the virus. In turn, the entrepreneurs of Uzbekistan also strongly support the state’s initiative in providing assistance to sick and left citizens in a difficult situation, and are trying to contribute to this work.

In particular, the exclusive PepsiCo bottler in Uzbekistan, a joint venture company InternationalBeverages Tashkent (a producer of sweet-carbonated and soft drinks), in the framework of a charity project worth 1.6 billion soums, acquired anesthesia-respiratory devices of expert class CaelusLite, a Belgian production. They were donated to the Ministry of Health at no cost for the treatment of critically ill patients with COVID-19.

“Before implementing a charity project, we carefully analyzed the situation associated with coronavirus infection in the world and in our country, consulted with representatives of the Ministry of Health,” says Muzaffar Salijanov, director of JV International Beverages Tashkent LLC, “Then we decided to purchase anesthesia Medec Caelus breathing apparatus, which is the result of MEDEC's 40 years of experience in the field of anesthesiology workstations. The main function of this apparatus is anesthetic, also if necessary, it can perform the function of mechanical ventilation. We hope that they will help critically ill patients with coronavirus and will contribute to their speedy recovery by serving as an assistant to the work of our doctors. We intend to continue charity work and to contribute to the fight against the virus in our country.”
