Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 1 September 2025, world-renowned Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli will perform at the historic Registan Square in Samarkand.

The event is organized with the support of the Uzbekistan Foundation for the Development of Culture and Arts and the country’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The open-air concert will take place against the backdrop of Samarkand’s architectural ensemble and will feature masterpieces of classical music as well as popular works.

Special guest of the evening will be leading opera singer Aida Garifullina.

The program will include performances by the National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan and the country’s top choral ensembles.

Andrea Bocelli is a symbol of the Italian vocal tradition, a six-time nominee for Grammy and Latin Grammy Awards, and the author of over 90 million records sold. His performances have graced world-class stages for U.S. presidents, Popes, members of the British royal family, at the Olympic Games, and at international cultural forums.

In 2011, he established the Andrea Bocelli Foundation, which supports cultural and humanitarian initiatives worldwide.

Bocelli’s concert at Registan Square will continue the foundation’s mission of strengthening international cultural ties, promoting Uzbekistan as a center of global cultural dialogue, and fostering the creative industries.
