Andijan Region to Attract US$500 Million Investment from China Shandong Huada Group
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Under the chairmanship of Andijan Region’s hokim Shukhratbek Abdurakhmonov, negotiations were held with the investor and partners from the Chinese company China Shandong Huada Group, who arrived in the region. The meeting involved senior officials from regional government agencies.
The discussions focused on attracting foreign direct investment and implementing large-scale infrastructure projects. In particular, the parties agreed to establish railway and auto-logistics hubs in the Kurgantepa and Khodjaabad districts. The total investment in the project is estimated at US$500 million.
Following the negotiations, the Chinese delegation, together with regional officials, visited the land plots designated for the projects and reviewed the current situation on site.
The partnership with China Shandong Huada Group is expected to significantly enhance the region’s transport and logistics potential, create new jobs, and support sustainable economic growth in Andijan Region.
