Andijan Region Signs 32 Deals During Afghanistan Visit
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation from Uzbekistan’s Andijan region, led by regional governor Shukhratbek Abdurakhmonov, is continuing its working visit to Afghanistan, where a series of business meetings between private sector representatives of both countries has been held.
The meetings brought together members of the Uzbek delegation, Afghan entrepreneurs, and representatives of the media.
During the forum, the head of the region presented the economic potential of Andijan, highlighting favorable investment conditions and promising areas for development. Participants discussed expanding partnerships and strengthening trade and economic ties.
Following the business events, B2B negotiations resulted in the signing of 32 agreements with a total value of US$813 million. These agreements reflect a significant expansion of economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan.
After concluding events in Kabul, the delegation traveled to Herat, where it was welcomed by local authorities. As part of the visit, the Andijan regional governor held talks with the leadership of Herat province, focusing on the development of interregional cooperation, expansion of trade, and implementation of joint investment projects.
A separate highlight of the visit was an exhibition of products from Andijan region held in Herat with the participation of official delegations and representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
More than 200 types of products were showcased, including agricultural goods, food products, construction materials, and household appliances.
The exhibition served as a platform for promoting Uzbek products in foreign markets and strengthening business ties between entrepreneurs of the two countries.
