Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A working visit by the Republican Task Force, led by Abdulaziz Akkulov, Chairman of the Uzbekistan Tourism Committee, took place in the Andijan region, with participation from representatives of the tourism sector.

The activities were organized in line with instructions from the Head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan and aimed at further enhancing the region’s tourism potential, creating modern tourist destinations, and improving infrastructure.

On the same day, visits were made to the Artificial Lake project in the Kampirrovot neighborhood, wellness trails in the Khontog highland areas, the Kutayba ibn Muslim pilgrimage tourism sites in Jalakuduk district, a riverside recreation zone along the Andijansay River, and the Imam Ota tourist zone in Khodjaabad district.

Special attention was given to the artisan ethnographic zone Torbazaar in the Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur neighborhood of Andijan city, as well as ecotourism projects within the Andijan Forest Enterprise in Bustan district. In Markhamat district, prospects for developing the Mingtepa archaeological site and enhancing its tourist appeal were discussed.

The visit also included an open dialogue with representatives of the Andijan regional administration, relevant ministries and agencies, and more than 80 entrepreneurs, including tour operators, hotel and restaurant managers, transport companies, recreation area directors, and cultural institutions.

Participants were presented with projects implemented in 2025 and the results achieved.
