Andijan Region Hokim Discusses Agricultural and Sericulture Projects with China’s Shansan E-Commerce

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Shukhratbek Abdurakhmonov, Hokim of Andijan Region, held talks with representatives of the Chinese company Shansan E-Commerce Co. Ltd.

The parties explored prospects for cooperation, focusing on projects in agriculture and sericulture. The Chinese delegation presented an initiative for the effective use of foothill and desert lands in the region, which includes planting oak saplings using Chinese technology and establishing a silkworm breeding system based on these plantations.

The meeting highlighted that the project’s implementation would create new jobs, increase local incomes, and improve the region’s environmental situation. Modern technologies and international best practices were also discussed.

Shukhratbek Abdurakhmonov supported the investors’ proposal, expressing confidence that the initiative will make a significant contribution to the economic development of Andijan and further strengthen the region’s agricultural potential.
