Andijan hosts regional stage of NGOs National Forum

The event was organized by Public Fund for Support of NGOs and other institutions of civil society under Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan, National Association of NGOs of Uzbekistan, Andijan regional administration, etc.

Nasibahon Mirodilova, deputy chairperson of the chairperson of the National Association of NGOs of Uzbekistan, said that the event is directed at improving activities of NGOs and strengthen their interaction with the state bodies.

She said that expanding cooperation between NGOs and the state states will be main factor for forming civil society in the country.

UzA reported that over 550 NGOs are operating in Andijan in various areas. The event also hosted a photo exhibition on activities of the NGOs and exhibition of craftsmen.

At the forum, the sides discussed issues of cooperation between the NGOs and local state bodies to implement state programmes on social-economic development of the region.
