Andijan business delegation begins visit to Afghanistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation of 110 entrepreneurs from Uzbekistan’s Andijan region has begun a working visit to Afghanistan.

The delegation is led by Andijan regional governor Shukhratbek Abdurakhmonov and Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Davron Vakhabov.

Upon arrival, the group was received by Chairman of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment Muhammad Saidkarim Hashimi, Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Afghanistan Aibek Usmonov, and Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry Mawlavi Shahobiddin Saqib.

The visit includes planned trips to Kabul and Herat, where business meetings will be held to discuss prospects for trade and economic cooperation. In Herat, the opening of a trade house is also expected to be considered.

The visit aims to explore the Afghan market, expand export opportunities, promote bilateral trade, and establish sustainable business ties between entrepreneurs of the two countries.

During the visit, the delegation also visited the mausoleum of Zahiruddin Muhammad Babur in Afghanistan, where they performed a pilgrimage and paid tribute to his historical legacy and contribution to the development of statehood and culture in the region.
