An Uzbek-Japanese Medical Information Center to be established soon in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Japan’s OMETA is working on creating an Uzbek-Japanese Medical Information Center in Tashkent, the press service of the Tashkent city administration said.

The creation of the Center is stipulated by the presidential resolutions. The estimated project cost is US$100,000.

During the meeting, issues of signing a memorandum of cooperation with the State Investment Committee were discussed, and the Japanese side reacted positively to the initiative to establish a working group.

OMETA (Overseas Medical Equipment Technical Assistants) is a Japanese organization for external technical assistance in the field of medical equipment. The goal is to assist other countries in the development of medical institutions, modernize the healthcare sector, as well as improve the qualifications of medical personnel, including under the official development assistance program of the Japanese government. The members of OMET are 138 companies, including 128 manufacturers of medical equipment.
